I work in private practice with couples and individuals. I’m also a clinical supervisor and offer training to student counsellors.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a qualified CPCAB Level 6 in person centered therapy and foundation level in Transactional Analysis. I am a certified Imago Relationship therapist, and I have completed several years of training in different therapy practices, such as working with suicide, abuse, shame, anxiety and an introduction into cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

Louise’s approach

A therapist’s qualifications are a factor to consider, but it’s equally important to find the right therapist for you.

I understand it’s difficult to share your feelings. You could be asking ‘what if I’m mad?’. I say: ‘what if you’re not?. What if all you need is some space where you can stop feeling awkward and alone, and instead feel reassured and empowered to choose how you feel?

Life is certainly full of days that feel easy and ones that feel like you are wading through treacle.

My approach is all about the relationship… the one you have with yourself!

'We work best when you feel reassured and unafraid...'

I have gone into many sessions feeling foggy but always come out with a clear head.

I’ve tried counselling with others before and felt lost and disillusioned. Louise suggested Transactional Analysis and she immediately put me at ease, working with me, alongside me all the way.

Louise is open and so easy to talk to, and has made counselling an eye-opening, life-changing and actually enjoyable experience for me. Thank you for all that you do!

quote-1
Couples Therapy with Louise has been absolute torture (in a good way) – what we mean is, although it has been extremely hard, it has been worth every uncomfortable feeling.
quote-2
quote-1
Louise provides an environment that is comfortable and relaxed, giving you the opportunity and support to express how you feel with no judgement.

quote-1
We both really did struggle to communicate exactly how we felt even about everyday things, now we talk more than we ever have. I personally can now open up more to my husband and have learnt that is ok to be vulnerable sometimes.

Clinical Supervision

I understand that when you’re looking for a supervisor it needs to be someone who you feel you can relate to – a collaboration with someone who is able to encourage you to challenge and explore your work.

The key to nurturing the relationship you have with your client is to nurture yourself and be courageous. To think outside the box. I love to work with other therapists and offer them a safe pair of hands to get curious about their client, their environment and their relationships.

Supervision is a key ingredient for a healthy work-life balance, where you can relax and know you’re working ethically and safely.

Please contact me to find out how I can help with your professional supervision.
